WHY WE STARTED.
October 2013 Founder and Executive Director, Julie Moser, was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 39. As a seasoned military wife, mother of two young girls, cancer shattered their world. Through the diagnosis and treatments, Julie wasn’t able to work with harsh side effects from chemo and residual effects once chemo ended. While she lost her hair, she didn’t want to lose hope. Cancer is so much more than hair loss. In December 2020, Julie was yet again fighting breast cancer. This just gave her more drive and determination to continue helping others during cancer treatments.
